Fire Department
The Justin Community Volunteer Fire Department (JVFFD) is responsible for providing fire, rescue, and emergency medical services for the citizens of Justin, Dish, Northlake, and unincorporated Denton County. The District covers approximately 70 square miles with a population served of approximately 15,000 people. The department averages 800 incidents a year. Justin VFD is one of three all-volunteer fire departments still active in Denton County.
Staffing
The JCVFD employs part-time paramedics to staff an Advanced Life Support ambulance. This unit is fully staffed 24/7, 365 days a year. Our 30 volunteer members are dedicated citizens that live in our response district who want to "give back" to the community. Training of our members follows the State Fireman's and Fire Marshals Associations' standards. This allows the JCVFD to provide the best possible service to the Communities and Citizens we serve.
Fire Station
Our fire station is located at 310 N Sealy Avenue in downtown Justin. The three-building headquarters includes living quarters for our paid Emergency Medical Services (EMS) staff, fire administration offices, and multiple apparatus bays. One fire engine, two ambulances, one rescue truck, three brush trucks, one water tender, and one aerial fire apparatus operate from this location.
