NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR 2018-2019 BUDGET AND TAX RATE

The City Council of the City of Justin, Texas, will hold two Public Hearings on Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Proposed Budget and Property Tax Rate on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. and Monday, August 27, 2018 at 7:00 pm. Both Hearings will be conducted in the City Council Chambers located at 415 N. College Ave, Justin, Texas 76247.

This budget will raise total property taxes more than last year’s budget by $269,675 or 14.17%, and of that amount, $99,642 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year. The proposed budget for the fiscal year of October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2019 includes a property tax rate of $0.6400 per $100 of taxable value – a reduction of $0.01 from the Fiscal Year 2017 rate.

 

PLANNING & ZONING, NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Planning & Zoning Commission for the City of Justin, Texas will hold a public hearing for a request for a zoning change of a portion of Tract 18, Abstract 1359 in the J. Wilson Survey of approximately 5.78ac generally located at 1st Street and FM 407 to be changed from Single Family (SF-1) to Local Retail (LR) on Tuesday, August 21st, 2018 at 7:15 pm.  The public hearing will be held at City Hall, 415 N. College, Justin, Texas, 76247.

This is a City-initiated zoning request in order to align the City of Justin Zoning Map with the City of Justin Future Land Use Map. Exhibits and maps are available to the public at Justin City Hall.

Borden Survey, generally located South of Bishop park along FM 156 to be changed from Single Family Residential District (SF-2) into entirely General Business District (GB) zoning on Tuesday, August 21st, 2018 at 7:15 pm.  The public hearing will be held at City Hall, 415 N. College, Justin, Texas, 76247.
